Wedding Paper Divas & Claire Pettibone

This was a fantastic partnership between WPD and Claire Pettibone who is an amazing couture bridal gown designer. She used dutch floral paintings as her inspiration. My objective was to take her invites and turn them into 3d installations. This required a gigantic amount of hand cut paper work with her invite graphics. Thank goodness I had my buddy Liz Gartner in NYC to help piece the project together.

This was the main arrangement of paper flowers. Each flower consists of 3-4 layers of the same flower then fluffed and glued together. See below for the process of how I really made it.

This is the arch that was spray painted black willow twigs. The butterflies were hand cut, stamped black on the back side then adhered to the arch.

You can see the detail of the butterflies on the step and repeat arch.
